Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely vendor/client payments
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow)
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance for 50+ employees
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation documentation
- Implement and maintain internal accounting controls
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- Associates degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent certification (CPA preferred)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and IRS tax regulations
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Exceptional organizational skills and deadline-driven mindset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial data
