Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, reconcile accounts, and manage incoming and outgoing payments with high accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to support decision-making.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist with Tax Preparation: Provide necessary documentation and support to the accounting team during tax season.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and other accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
