Your Role:
As our Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the full-cycle bookkeeping process, ensuring our financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact for accounts payable and receivable, while also assisting with month-end close activities and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by recording daily transactions and ensuring account balances are correct.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and tax filing compliance where required.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent professional certification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and ensure accuracy in high-volume data processing.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with team members and clients.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
