Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 15+ employees
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) for clients
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Manage month-end closing procedures and variance reporting
- Assist with tax preparation and audit documentation
- Implement QuickBooks solutions for small business clients
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Proven ability to manage multi-client financial portfolios
- Familiarity with NM state tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AIPB) a plus
