Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims and patient invoices
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through strategic follow-up
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports monthly
- Collaborate with clinical teams for charge capture accuracy
- Implement billing process improvements
- Manage electronic remittance advice (ERA) processing
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in Epic or Medisoft EMR systems
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet strict billing deadlines
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare billing protocols
- Proficient in Excel and billing software
