Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient and insurer communication
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and aging statements
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and billing compliance standards
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial analysis
- Collaborate with clinical staff to verify patient eligibility and coverage
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table experience
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
