Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices, payments, and insurance claims with 99.5% accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies through proactive communication with clients and internal teams
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Generate monthly/quarterly billing reports for financial analysis
- Collaborate with AR team to optimize cash flow and reduce DSO
- Update and maintain billing databases in Epicor ERP systems
- Train new staff on billing protocols and software
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical or commercial billing experience
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS-1500 forms
- Proficiency in billing software (Epicor, Medisoft, or equivalent)
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage high-volume deadlines with precision
- Detroit metro area residency required
