Responsibilities
- Process and verify high-volume invoices for accuracy, coding, and approval.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure timely payments.
- Manage the accounts payable ledger and ensure all payments are made according to agreed terms.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding billing inquiries and status updates.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare necessary reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
