Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Accounts Management: Manage general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Support: Assist the Finance Director with budget preparation and auditing requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not strictly required for immediate consideration.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies.
