Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance (federal/state)
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve cash flow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records in NetSuite and ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP standards and tax regulations (IRS/Texas Comptroller)
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel (VLOOKUP/PivotTables), and NetSuite
- Proven experience with month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations and training
