Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations and maintain the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and petty cash funds.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate time tracking and deductions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax compliance principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
