In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing critical insights to our leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities and ensure all entries are accurate and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external review.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure all tax deadlines are met.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
