Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions and ensure accurate bookkeeping records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Process accounts payable and receivable to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Conduct internal audits and assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
