Responsibilities
- Manage Weekly Financial Close: Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate closing of books for the weekend period.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial statements and variance reports for management review.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with weekend payroll tasks to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices and manage cash flow with a high degree of accuracy.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to GAAP and internal financial controls.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support month-end and quarter-end close processes with additional data analysis.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work specific weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies and ensure 100% accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Software: Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms is a plus.
