Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely payment cycles
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budget forecasts
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for compliance
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure adherence to federal/state regulations
- Lead accounts reconciliation for bank statements, investments, and intercompany transactions
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and ERP systems
- Support senior leadership with strategic financial analysis and KPI tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/corporate setting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP/PivotTables), and ERP systems
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and Louisiana tax regulations
- Proven experience with month-end closing and financial statement preparation
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
