Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes including month-end close and reconciliations
- Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns and statutory financial statements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for key business units
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews
- Implement process improvements for financial efficiency
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 3+ years post-qualification experience
- Proven expertise in UK tax legislation and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage/QuickBooks)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing finance teams and cross-departmental projects
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in urgent hiring scenarios
