Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end close
- Prepare accurate financial statements and compliance reports for diverse clientele
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Lead audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and IRS regulations
- Maintain robust internal controls and documentation systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic financial initiatives
- Utilize QuickBooks and ERP systems for efficient transaction processing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Proven track record of managing month-end closes and audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Louisiana CPA license or active pursuit required
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
