Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
- Prepare and maintain the company's payroll records and tax filings.
- Perform bank reconciliations and expense audits to ensure data integrity.
- Assist the senior accountant with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and Word.
- Understanding of GAAP and basic tax laws.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and vendors.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
