Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in our accounting software.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and ensure all accounts are up to date.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Excel Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
