Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, credit card statements, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
- Reporting: Prepare and post journal entries, and assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports for clients.
- Payroll: Process payroll using ADP or QuickBooks, ensuring all deductions and taxes are calculated correctly.
- Compliance: Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries and financial status.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and errors.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
