Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, including the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss.
- Payroll: Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Bookkeeping Systems: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to manage ledgers and journals.
- Record Keeping: Organize and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and ensure all financial processes adhere to GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Online/Pro, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
