Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end closing
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with attention to GAAP compliance
- Lead tax preparation processes and ensure regulatory adherence
- Develop and implement financial controls to minimize risk
- Collaborate with department heads on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Streamline accounting workflows using advanced Excel and QuickBooks
- Mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated success in month-end closing and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Active CPA license or equivalent certification required
