Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow efficiently
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Handle payroll processing and tax filings for 15+ clients
- Implement and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Online expertise required)
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with GAAP regulations
- Support month-end closing procedures and financial forecasting
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
- Familiarity with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies
- Professional certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor) preferred
- Excellent communication skills and client management abilities
