Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions weekly
- Manage sales tax filings and regulatory compliance documentation
- Support annual audits and tax preparation processes
- Implement process improvements for financial data management
- Collaborate with CFO on budget forecasting and variance analysis
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and Indiana tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation highly desirable
- Exceptional attention to detail and error-detection skills
- Ability to meet urgent deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Proven experience with multi-client accounting systems
