Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax documents and support the payroll process.
- Maintain an organized, digital, and physical filing system for all financial records.
- Process invoices and ensure all expenses are coded correctly to the general ledger.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures as required.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies immediately.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
