Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for over 500+ employees with 100% accuracy using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure proper calculation and deduction of taxes, garnishments, 401(k) contributions, and benefits.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer complex employee inquiries regarding pay statements and tax forms.
- Stay up-to-date with federal (FLSA), state (IL), and local labor laws to ensure full compliance.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll tax filings and reports for quarterly and annual audits.
- Collaborate with the HR and Accounting departments to maintain accurate employee records.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs and leave of absence tracking.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Proficiency with payroll software, specifically ADP Workforce Now or UKG Pro.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and FLSA compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) for data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and external agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
