Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Account Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Compliance: Ensure all tax filings and statutory requirements are met on time.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Assist in budget preparation and provide detailed variance analysis to senior management.
Qualifications
- Qualification: Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) or part-qualified with significant experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the UK finance sector.
- Software: Proficiency in Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is essential.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of UK tax laws, VAT returns, and payroll processes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in an urgent environment.
