Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and corporations with high accuracy.
- Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to identify optimization opportunities for clients.
- Assist in developing tax planning strategies to minimize liability and maximize financial growth.
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and professionally to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to current tax laws, regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Collaborate with the audit and compliance teams to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date client documentation and filing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred, but candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
- 1-3 years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate tax preparation.
- Proficiency in tax software such as ProSeries, Drake, or Lacerte.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
