Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct research on complex tax regulations and interpret them for clients.
- Communicate with clients to gather financial information and explain tax positions.
- Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize liability and maximize efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with changing tax laws.
- Collaborate with senior staff on audit support and complex filings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting (internships considered).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software (Drake, Lacerte, ProSeries).
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines during tax season.
