Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with IRS and Alaska tax regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and deductions
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex tax planning strategies
- Provide exceptional client communication and tax consultation services
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem, CCH, or Lacerte) for efficient processing
- Maintain accurate client documentation and electronic filing records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience (individual and corporate)
- Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification preferred
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines remotely
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Knowledge of Alaska-specific tax regulations a plus
