Responsibilities
- Analyze financial documents to prepare accurate individual and business tax returns.
- Conduct client meetings to gather necessary tax documents and explain complex tax situations.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all federal, state, and local filings.
- Utilize industry-standard tax software (e.g., Lacerte, Drake, ProSeries) to process returns.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with changing regulations.
- Manage a high volume of client inquiries via phone and email during peak season.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client financial data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Willingness to obtain relevant tax certification (training provided).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
