Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of individual and business income tax returns.
- Review and organize client documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with clients regarding missing information and tax deadlines.
- Perform data entry and maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Support senior staff with year-end tax planning and compliance projects.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict adherence to tax laws and firm policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- No prior tax experience required; we value potential and teachability.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
