Responsibilities
- Prepare individual and small business tax returns under supervision
- Organize and maintain client financial documentation
- Assist with tax research and compliance documentation
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary tax information
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte) for data entry
- Participate in ongoing training on tax regulations and software
- Support senior staff during audit inquiries and tax filings
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Ability to learn tax software quickly with training
- Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
