Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct thorough research on complex tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax projections for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax findings, answer inquiries, and manage expectations.
- Support internal audit processes and respond to tax authority notices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing tax legislation and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification (or eligibility to sit for the exam) is highly preferred.
- 1-4 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Drake, or Lacerte).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
