Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state individual and corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct tax research on complex regulations to ensure proper application of tax laws.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liability and maximize refunds.
- Perform bookkeeping duties, including general ledger maintenance and financial statement preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve inquiries and explain complex tax concepts.
- Ensure timely filing of all required tax documents and extensions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or EA certification is highly preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, or TurboTax).
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
