Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns (Form 1040, 1065, 1120) ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct in-depth tax research to identify opportunities for tax savings and ensure adherence to the latest tax laws and regulations.
- Communicate complex tax concepts to clients in a clear, professional manner, building lasting client relationships.
- Utilize industry-standard tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax) to efficiently process and organize client data.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for audits and reviews.
- Participate in year-end tax planning strategies and client meetings to drive business growth.
- Maintain organized and secure filing systems for all client records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred but not required for entry-level candidates with relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or a related financial role.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax codes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
