As a Tax Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' financial health through accurate and timely tax preparation and planning.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct thorough tax research to identify potential deductions and credits.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax-related inquiries and document requests.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Ensure all filings are submitted on time to avoid penalties.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or EA preferred).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, QuickBooks).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
