Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of individual and small business tax returns.
- Conduct thorough research on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and answer basic inquiries.
- Organize, maintain, and file client financial records and tax documents with high accuracy.
- Support the senior tax team with data entry and spreadsheet analysis using Excel.
- Participate in year-round tax planning activities and seasonal filing deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines during tax season.
