Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and corporations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support complex client situations and ensure compliance with changing regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax implications, answer inquiries, and build lasting professional relationships.
- Assist in the development of tax planning strategies to help clients minimize liabilities and optimize their financial positions.
- Collaborate with senior associates and partners during audit support and special projects.
- Manage time-sensitive deadlines and prioritize multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required; Master’s degree or CPA/EA certification preferred.
- 1-3 years of progressive experience in tax preparation, compliance, or public accounting (internships considered).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake).
- Deep understanding of GAAP and U.S. federal tax laws.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
