Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Conduct tax research and analysis to optimize client financial strategies
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and tax planning consultations
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex multi-state tax projects
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte)
- Stay updated on tax law changes through continuous professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (Big 4 or mid-size firm background a plus)
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written/verbal communication and client management abilities
- Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for exam
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
