Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Conduct tax research and develop compliance strategies for high-net-worth clients
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and quarterly reviews
- Utilize ProSystem fx® and UltraTax® for efficient tax processing
- Assist in IRS audits and state tax controversy cases
- Maintain accurate documentation in engagement management systems
- Mentor junior staff on tax compliance best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 3.2+ GPA
- CPA eligibility or active pursuit (passed 2+ sections)
- 2+ years public accounting tax experience
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of IRS Form 1040, 1120, and partnership returns
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- New Jersey residency preferred for local client relationships
