Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and corporations
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with current tax regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities for clients
- Collaborate with senior staff on complex tax planning strategies
- Manage client relationships and provide exceptional tax advisory services
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, CCH) for efficient processing
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (CPA track preferred)
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Active CPA license or progress toward certification
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of IRS regulations and Nebraska state tax codes
