As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization, ensuring accuracy in our records, and supporting our leadership team with timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial statements.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
