Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and financial audits.
- Process payroll transactions and ensure all timesheets and expense reports are accurate.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and perform periodic inventory counts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
