In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of financial transactions.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collection of outstanding invoices.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved and bank statements match the general ledger.
- Assist with Audits: Provide necessary documentation and support to external auditors during annual audits and internal reviews.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP); experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) is preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professional ethics and confidentiality.
