Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records, perform month-end and year-end close procedures, and ensure all entries are balanced and reconciled.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for management review.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely payments while monitoring accounts receivable collections.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of payroll data and ensure accurate tax withholdings and deductions are calculated.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in general accounting, financial analysis, or bookkeeping.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and maintain high accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
