Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and internal compliance reports.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
- Support the annual external audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Assist in the budgeting process and perform variance analysis to help drive business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2-4 years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
