Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in a timely manner.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Cost Accounting: Assist in tracking and analyzing operating costs to help drive efficiency and profitability.
- Compliance & Audit: Support internal and external audit requirements by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
