As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and driving efficiency across our accounting operations. We offer a collaborative culture, competitive benefits, and the opportunity for rapid professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the full cycle of AP/AR processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections, maintaining strict adherence to internal controls.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation, ensuring full compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and analyzing account balances.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, preferably within a corporate or public accounting firm.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and ERP systems.
