Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform accurate bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support for external financial audits.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal controls.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process for departmental projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
